Cover the entry with a dome at the rear, where a camera is within reach. Domes hide which way the lens points and resist tampering.
Three or four cameras on a 4-channel PoE NVR cover a typical terrace: front door, rear entry, garden and side gate. If running cable through the house is hard, Wi-Fi cameras need only a power socket.
