Do you install CCTV yourselves?
No. We are a specialist supplier with a trade counter and live showroom in Wolverhampton. We advise on and supply the equipment, then recommend a qualified local trade installer to fit it.
How much does CCTV installation cost in Wolverhampton?
There are two parts to the cost: the equipment and the installer's labour. Equipment prices are shown on our website. Labour depends on the number of cameras, the cable runs and the type of building, and the installer confirms their price after a survey before any work starts.
Can I see the cameras working before I buy?
Yes. In our Wolverhampton showroom we go through the live picture, night vision, playback and the mobile app with you so you know how the system works before you commit.
Do I need permission to install CCTV at my house?
You do not normally need planning permission for home CCTV, although listed buildings and some conservation areas can have restrictions. If your cameras capture anything beyond your own boundary, UK data protection law applies: put up a sign, only keep footage for as long as you need it, and be prepared to respond to requests from people who have been recorded.
Who handles the warranty if something goes wrong?
We do. The equipment is supplied by us as an authorised partner, so warranty and technical support come direct from the source rather than through a third party. Your installer looks after the workmanship; we look after the products.
Which brands do you recommend?
It depends on the job. We are an authorised Hikvision partner in Wolverhampton and stock Hikvision and HiLook alongside other leading brands. We will recommend what suits your property, budget and the features you actually need.
Can I buy the equipment and fit it myself?
Yes, you can buy direct from us. It depends on the product and on whether you are an end user or a trade professional. We stock plenty of brands to suit both: HiLook, for example, caters for end users fitting their own system as well as trade professionals, while some ranges such as Hikvision are trade products for installers and trade account holders. We will point you to the right range, put together a complete kit and help you set it up. If you change your mind, we can still recommend an installer.
