Excel Category 6 U/UTP Residential Cables are manufactured and tested to the TIA/EIA 568 C.2, EN50173-1 and ISO/IEC Category 6 specifications. Each cable consists of 8 colour coded 25 AWG polyethelene insulated conductors. These are twisted together to form 4 pairs with varied lay lengths. These are then formed around a central X shaped polyethelene filler. This filler assists in maintaining and enhancing the cable's performance.
This cable has been specifically designed to support the emergence of the residential cabling market where the distances involved do not require the same transmission capabilities as those found in the commercial environment.
